Flight Attendant Interview....?
I have an interview for Mesa Airlines in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone has worked for them or went to one of the interview sessions? How does that interview go because I heard they last about 2 hours...Any advice? Also do you really have to be good looking in order to get hired? And what if your teeth aren't perfect and arent straight? Will that screw up the chances of getting hired??

You need to be a certain height, thats all that is concerned by looks. If you arnt comfortable with your teeth. Just smile with out showing them. Smiling is your best bet at winning any interview, especially customer service orientated ones

dress appropiate, get more about the company background and the position that you are applying for. that's it, there's nothing you need to worry about beside of that.

when it comes to Mesa airline flight attendants, trust me when i say they scrape the bottom of the barrel for their employees. the pay is low and so is the morale of their employees therefore they can not be picky about who they hire. the turn over rate is high because of the politics and lack of professionalism with the company so i would say you have very little to worry about. don't get me wrong, there are some quality flight attendants at this airline but they are few and far between. i am not sure how long their interview process is though. remember, that mesa is a regional airline and there is no glamour with being a regional flight attendant. it is nothing like you see in the movies or even on larger carriers. personally, i would run like the wind unless this was my only option and i had a true passion for flight attending. discouraging as this may be, i hope it helps.

At the Open Session, typically you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and will be given a short speech about the airline by a flight attendant representative. Each person may be then be required to take a written, multiple-choice test, which includes some customer service questions. Those that pass the test will be asked to remain while the others are excused. The remaining group will be asked to speak or read in front of the group. Usually, the topic deals in some way with customer service. Resumes or applications are usually not collected at the Open House. Most successful candidates are advised during this session of their advancement to a second interview, although airlines have also been advising some candidates by mail. There are sometimes individual interviews at the Open House session.
