Would you move to California or stay in Phoenix based on this situation....?
I just moved to Phoenix (specifically the tempe, mesa area) in january from MIssissippi. So far its alright, just really bland and a lot of the people seemed to have carry all the things about the midwest was trying to get away from over here. I was going to move to either san diego or los angeles in May but I may have a job as a flight attendant which requires me to stay in phoenix b/c that is their hub. I haven't got the job for sure yet, but if I do get it, would you take the job or turn it down to live in SoCal? FYI a flight attendant job doesn't pay all that much but it seems possibly enjoyable and you get great perks, such as free flights. SO what do you think?

Well, Hon, looking back over my life,( I am a pretty old lady) I can tell you that I think it would have been fun to be a flight attendant for awhile and travel around and meet new people. You sure won't be able to live that life if you get settled down somewhere with a family. I would try it for awhile if I was you.You say that the Phoenix area is bland, but you would be traveling a lot, and the job sounds exciting. Whatever you do, enjoy your life 'cause you are only young for such a little while. Best of luck. Lou in KS

If you think Phoenix is bland, which I agree, then i would move b/c it's not going to change a lot anytime soon. Especially during summer when everyone stays indoors or leaves town b/c of the heat. I live in San Diego and love it. The weather, people, things to do, scenery, beach, nightlife, ect... are all great and there is always something to do or going on anytime of the year. It's expensive but just for housing, we don't have the astronomical utility bills people in AZ get in the summer from running the AC 24/7. If you live near the coast you won't need AC and might only use your heater at night a few times a year. Since flight attendants don't pay that much you can probably find a similar or even better paying job in SoCal. Plus you might still be able to live in SoCal and work out of Phoenix as long as you can get flights to Phoenix from any one of the SocCal airports. I've heard of flight attendants living hundreds and even over a thousand miles away from their home base airport, but with more crowded planes that might not be an option as much anymore. I would look in San Diego more so than LA unless you like really big cities. It's cheaper, less congested, less polluted, less crime, and better weather than LA. People tend to be nicer and friendler than LA as well.
